The standard temperature probes purchased by S&RIND S.r.l. are components with excellent mechanical, thermal and precision qualities, suitable for monitoring the temperatures of liquid and gaseous fluids, even when the working conditions are “heavy” and the operating temperatures are high . These temperature probes are divided into the following product “families”: thermoresistances (PT100, PT1000), thermocouples (type J, type K, type S), thermistors (PTC, NTC)
These probes are made up of sensitive elements (temperature sensors), containment elements (external sheaths), electrical connection systems (cables or terminal covers) and any fixing systems (threaded nipples, flanges, etc.). The temperature sensors of the probes are inserted in the external sheaths and, when required, isolated from them in order to ensure an excellent sensitivity to temperature variations in the environments in which they are inserted. The external sensor and sheath assemblies are assembled to the electrical connection elements and eventually “coupled” to the fixing elements. The outer sheaths can be made of copper or stainless steel and the standard diameters can be 1.5, 3.0, or 6.0mm. The fixing elements can be made of brass or stainless steel. The “couplings” between the external tubular sheaths and the fixing elements are performed with welding systems (braze welding or tig). The electrical insulation between the sensitive elements and the external tubular sheaths is obtained with: the mineral insulation the magnesium oxide, resins (epoxies, thermo-hardeners, etc.) or with plastic insulators (silicones, etc.). The insulations between the temperature sensors and the external tubular sheaths, as well as the “couplings” between the components mentioned above, are performed thanks to the use of machines, equipment and automatic systems.
The use of “precious” metal alloys such as stainless steel, the use of innovative machines, equipment and systems for the manufacture and isolation of sensitive elements, the adoption of the most modern welding and assembly systems combined with adoption of the most modern equipment for product testing, guarantees the manufacture of products with high performance and a high level of quality and reliability.
