Flat heating elements

Description

The flat electric resistors are components suitable for electric heating of metal parts (e.g. the molds). These resistances are composed of heating elements, fixing elements (threaded pins, plates, etc.) and electrical connection systems (threaded terminals, connection cables or plugs). The heating elements can be “coupled” to the fixing elements and assembled to the electrical connection systems. The heating elements are made up of resistive wires (electric resistances) wound on mica “cores” or strung in ceramic “cores” and isolated from the external plates in which they are inserted. The electrical insulation between the resistances and the external plates is obtained with a mineral insulator: mica or ceramic. Mica and ceramics, in addition to being good electrical insulators, guarantee excellent heat transfer from the electrical resistance to the external plates. The plates of the external plates can be made of the following materials:

  • galvanized steel,
  • aluminized steel,
  • stainless steel AISI 304 or AISI 321.

Electrical insulation can be made in the following materials:

  • mica;
  • ceramic.

The use of innovative equipment for the manufacture of heating elements, the adoption of the most modern systems for processing sheet metal together with the use of the most modern equipment for testing the product, guarantees the manufacture of products with high performance and high level of quality and reliability.

On request, the flat electric resistors can be equipped with temperature detection systems. All types of flat electric resistors are components performed in compliance with the technical specifications requested by the customer.
